time the season opens the guides have a good indication of which stands show the most promise.
Our stands range from long rifle shots of over 150 yds to short shots of 15 yds for bow or shotgun hunters. Most of our stands are sturdy wooden platforms mounted permanently and firmly in trees although we have a few, particularly the long rifle shots, where the hunter is on the ground firing from behind a secluded log blind.
We run a very professional and small hunt, accepting only 4 hunters per week. This insures a quality hunt, plenty of additional stands insuring you have the best chance at your bear. In 2007 90% of our Hunters got their bear. In the last three consecutive years we have enjoyed 100% success rate with the largest bear weighing over 400 lbs.
There is a natural camaraderie amongst the hunters and guides with small groups and our guides are with you through the entire experience.
Everything is included in our hunting package - accommodations, dinner on arrival, 3 great meals per day, daily maid service, hunting over baited tree stands, excellent guides, non-resident black bear hunting license a 7 day fishing license, export permit, boat, motor, gas, bait and all taxes. We’ll take you to your stand, retrieve the bear. Your bear will be skinned and the meat will be butchered and frozen if time permits; so don’t wait until the last day to bag that bear.
